Sering, Carl Russell

Source: Crawfordsville Review 29 July 1924

In loving remembrance of our dear son and brother, Carl Russell Sering who left us six years ago today.  God needed one more in heaven, So he sent an angel one day, With a message of our darling To Come to Him to stay. He has gone, but still we see him, Just in fancy now, it seems For his face in radiant splendor Haunts us in our dreams.  Day by day we’re drawing nearer to the journey’s end, we know it is not so very far, And there we’ll find our darling waiting.  It’s been six years, and how we miss him, Miss him more than tongue can tell, But God is good and in his mercy We know he does all things well.  We know he is in Heaven, A bright and shining star, We hope to meet him face to face When we have crossed the bar.  Sadly missed by his father, mother, sisters and brothers.
